Divide & Conquer
Divide and Conquer, a social environment that pits everyone against each other to keep people afraid of one another. It creates a vulnerability in people who are susceptible to manipulation.
Methods Include
Singling out a group of people that have similar characteristics eg. sex, religion, race, class and political views. this splits people us into categories
Create illusions of being in danger. The aim of this illusion are to keep people in a constant state of fear and hostility, usually towards another group who are also victim of the same tactic. Fear mongering is a weapon to stir up hatred and animosity between groups, this can be done through propaganda and misinformation
Victimizing. making a group feel like they are the victim and are vulnerable to abuse. this can causes a closed-off mindset rejecting any outside perspective to reasoning. When a source of reasoning is presented, the argument is immediately shutdown and is regarded as invalid, insensitive or an abusive attack.
Control the narrative of each group, by controlling the media and mind set of each group they can easily be manipulated to cause unrest or vote for power structures who work against everyone except the higher few
Create divisions between groups, by using divisive language, pitting them against each other in a competition that can never be won. This allows people to be pitted against each other without actually understanding the root of the problem
Create an environment of mistrust and paranoia, where no one can be sure of who they can trust and who they can't. This helps to create a sense of helplessness and fear in the population
Vandana Shiva’s views on the ‘divide and conquer’ strategy of social control have been highly influential. Shiva argues that this strategy is used to maintain power and control over the masses by dividing them into smaller, more easily manipulated groups.
The use of the divide and conquer strategy has serious implications for social justice and equality. By dividing people into smaller groups and controlling the narrative of each group, those in power are able to maintain their control over the population. This leads to a lack of representation in decision-making and a lack of resources for those who are most in need. This can lead to the further entrenchment of inequality and injustice, as those in power are able to maintain their control over the population.

The seven deadly sins are a reflection of our current state of consciousness, as they are rooted in a deep-seated fear and manifest in a variety of ways. We live in a world where fear is pervasive, and it is this fear that drives us to act in ways that are ultimately destructive to ourselves and to others. The seven deadly sins are a reminder that fear can be a powerful force, and can lead to negative outcomes if not managed properly. It is up to us to be mindful of our fears, and to take steps to address them in a healthy and constructive manner. By doing so, we can create a better future for ourselves and for those around us.
