 Mental Bouncers

A Mental Bouncer is a tool that can be used to help an individual filter out negative thoughts and feelings in times of distress. The role of the mental bouncer is to protect one’s mind from destructive thought patterns that can lead to depression, rumination and other harmful emotional states. It serves as an imaginary guard at the door, allowing only positive thoughts and emotions into your conscious space while blocking those which could cause you harm or further entrench you in a dark place.

By taking full control over what comes into our minds – we are empowered with choice instead of being helplessly ridden by ruminative habits – ultimately working towards uplifting ourselves towards more productive levels!

Step 1:

Identify any repeat triggers that bring about disruptive or negative thought patterns - these could be linked with people, places, activities or experiences. Document these along with other details like time of day that may give you more insight into their source..

Step 2:

Place a “mental bouncer” at this trigger point where those destructive thoughts usually start appearing by visualizing someone blocking entrance from them (imagining putting up an invisible barrier). Visualize this person as powerful figure who can protect against all kinds of negativity being brought into your mind-scape – think anyone strong and secure like 2 security guards. This exercise should immediately reduce anxiety caused by disruption form wicked little goblins coming out at unknowable times!

 Step 3:

Start redirecting yourself everytime one of these recurrent scenarios appears lurking around bubbling up old anxieties—immediately replace those reactions with proactive constructive ones by actively changing what kind of thought patterns come up to you. Replace toxic thinking with constructive or positive self-talk. This helps activate healthier neural pathways and teach your brain better ways of organising thoughts which will stick with you along the way!

Step 4:

Reward yourself when good thinking conquers a seemingly insurmountable anxiety! Develop safe, healthy rewards for yourself and practice celebrating each rewired thought like you’ve just won a million dollars. This will help fix those thoughts in your mind way better than rumination as they train your skilful brain muscles to withhold deadly fire-storms of distress that’d otherwise willingly let pass by myriads of distractions filling up our day-by-day lives.

Step 5 :

Keep taking control over trigger points where moments of joyless emotions reign supreme over any prospective chances actuality can afford us: nurture the emotional strength it takes to create opportunities even when situations might be outta scope… NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
